I'm relatively new to photography. So far I have not used photo editing software for any major editing other than cropping. The reason for that is 1) I don't know how to use photoshop (I use Picasa 3), 2) I have this thinking that using softwares like photoshop for changing colours, making the sky and clouds really 'dramatic' or adding blur or depth of focus and such like undermines the skill of a photographer. A photographer should get the best image using his camera alone and therein lies his skill.

I would like to know whether my second reason is BS (!)
