Oh sod off. Go spread FUD somewhere else. I'm an Open Source developer, and I make sure my documentation is up to par like many other OS projects. Don't believe me? Check out
http://stuvel.eu/projects/flickrapi, or check YouTube for video tutorials on
Blender. There are plenty of Open Source project with excellent documentation.
So... people have created The Gimp in there spare time, and ask nothing in return. They simply give an excellent program to the world freely, no strings attached. And now
they are the arrogant ones?
It's a fact of life that programmers generally don't like writing/updating documentation. They are working completely for free and simply do what they like to do, indeed the documentation could be lacking in some areas. Are people arrogant simply because they do what they want to do in their own private spare time?
To demand that this documentation is written by someone is the same as to demand that those people start doing something in their own private spare time against their will. To demand that without any form of compensation for their effort, now
that is arrogant.
