Setup
First attach the wood onto the bottom part of the skateboard with clamps. Next place counterweights on opposite side of camera's location. Then you'll want to position your camera so that the nose of the skateboard and part of the shoe are shown. Be sure to include the wheel in your shot but be careful to keep the wood out. Prepare the camera by setting exposure and focus ahead of time. I used a 20 second exposure for mine.
Shooting
I turned my camera on timer to reduce shaking. Once it starts taking the picture roll the skateboard gently back and forth over at least 15 feet. Continue going back and forth until the picture is done. Try experimenting with different backgrounds, exposures and camera angles until you like your result.
