Hello, my name is Ray, I am fairly new to the digital world of photography, I had a Nikon D40 until it was stolen, I mainly left it in the Auto mode and just let the camera do all the work. I have been looking and reading on what to buy for about a year now and ended up with the Nikon D700. This is quite a camera for someone of my very limited knowledge of digital picture taking. But I am willing to put alot of time and effort in learning how to take awesome pics and I am sure many bad ones too.
So any help and info for a guy with more money than brains, I am here to learn and make my mistakes like a lot of other people.
My lenses are a 20-35mm f2.8,,, 300mm f4 af-s,,,105mm micro f2.8,,,60mm micro f2.8,,70-210mm af f4 and a 50mm 1.8 that I bought with the camera.
I am very happy with all the lenses for far, I use my 20-35 and 300 most of the time, I do like the 70-210mm because of its light weight compared to the other two. As long as I have plenty of light it makes for a great walking around lens.
So this is where I am at at this time. Any help or advice will be appreciated....

Nice to meet all of you......
