Hi all,
I'm Tracie and I'm overwhelmed.

Please don't laugh...
I've always been fascinated by photography and have even managed to nab a few decent shots here and there in my lifetime but that's about it. I have never been able to afford for photography to become an actual 'hobby'.
Our first digital camera was one of the Canon dinosaurs that had no flash and only took tiny pictures (it was given to us). We then 'upgraded' to a Kodak EasyShare. At the time I thought it was the coolest thing ever compared to what we'd (my husband and I) owned in the past. Recently we 'upgraded' again to a Panasonic FZ28 and... now I'm completely lost, lol. I'm sure this is a great camera but there may be no hope for me to learn how to actually use it and understand all its settings. The best photo I've taken with it (in IA mode) so far is here:
My Dog.
Am I in the right place to learn? I've tried reading a few threads and all of this is so over my head considering my strictly point-and-shoot-and-get-lucky-once-in-a-while background.
Thanks!
