Currently using the Canon 18-55 kit lens as my walkaround, until I get enough money to buy a Canon 17-85.

If Canon would make a 18-200 I would definitely buy it. I know 3rd party makers like Sigma have lenses of this focal range, but the main reason why I didn't buy one is the narrow aperture of f/6.3 at the long end. This wouldn't allow it to autofocus on my camera, which requires f/5.6 or faster, and I'm not really up to using manual focus.
