I am very happy to be here. I have looked for a while for somewhere that I can talk and share info as well as ask questions. Now let me introduce myself.
My name is Canoe,(yes even my mom calls me that), I am married with 2 lovely girls. I am a sailor by trade, but a big kid at heart. I love to take photos. As I am sure all of you do as well. I am from South Louisiana and love wildlife. I never really had the camera to take wildlife pictures. But that has just changed. All the cameras I have ever had were point & shoot type. And I have just got my first DSLR. I never thought to look for tips to take better pictures with my other cameras. So I am truely a beginner.
Another large problem I have is that I am at sea a lot of the time. So I have very little chances for taking pictures. But I do get some good sunsets.
I am trying to get a flickr account so maybe you all can share your thoughts on my pics.
I was using a Kodak E Z Share
I just got a
Pentax K10D
Pentax lens 18x55 mm
And a great big head open for learning.
