I'm really enjoying these posts because I'm brand new to Photoshop and its making me learn a lot. Its a lot a fun The positioning of the girl in this one reminded me of the egyptian drawings.

So what I did was first I turned the original picture to a sketch by following these directions: http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tuto...to-sketch.html and then I traced around her face and body. Added a layer and whited out her hair. Then I played with the hue/saturation to get it the right color. Then I painted her dress a different color, painted her eye and then filled in all the colors. I then added a background layer and used the craquelure texture filter and then rendered a spotlight effect. I know I didn't explain that very well, but its because I don't know exactly what I'm doing and have been mostly doing it by trial and error!
