I have 2.
1) Mozilla Firefox - I hate Microsoft Explorer, this alternative webbrowser is much easier to use and has "ad ons" that are very useful.
2) AVG - Free antivirus. Enough said!

I use Firefox as well and hate Microsoft Explorer too! I use Avira. It's a FREE anti-virus as well. From avira.com. It's highly rated!
Another is spybot, from spybot.org and of course Adaware...
