Default Lone Red Ball

Now this is one of my favorite effects to do in Photoshop, made a little easier by a tutorial I saw on DPS, using the history brush to paint color into a B&W image. The original is below:


Ok, time to go to work. After opening up the image in Photoshop, I unlocked the layer (done by double clicking on it), then made a copy of it. I always make a layer copy, just in case I screw up doing something. I then desaturated the top layer (Image>Adjustments>Desaturate), and clicked on the history brush. I then painted the color back into the ball. Since I was editing it full size, I used brush size 100. I think the effect is great. Edited image below:
