professionals like matt kosklowski and Scott Kelby recommend a 6x8....
I have a intuos also and love it but the bamboo line is fine for normal use.
Arm motion plays a part in why the largest is not always the best. Some don't mind the long swings to get back and forth on the tablet but most like the smaller movements since it enables longer sessions on the tablet.
