Hi,
My name is Jeannine Burke, I live in MI. I am a high school teacher and I like taking photos. I currently use a point & shoot Panasonic Lumix & I like the photos I take with it. I have considered upgrading to a DSLR for about a year & I am ready to take the plunge. I like to take photos of my two dogs, my grandkids & my students at school love having their pictures taken. We are currently working on a classroom collage on one of the walls in my classroom. I'd like to do some artistic things with my pics, so I'm open to experimentation. This is a hobby for me & my budget is approx. $1,000. I like the Nikon D60, but I'm concerned that since it does not have auto focus I may miss some good shots if I have the body only. I also like the Canon Xsi kit that I can get for around $900. so any suggestions would be great. I'm excited to learn form you all!
