Well, the rumour makes no sense given Pentax's current lens roadmap, which has almost nothing but DA lenses that would not fit on an APS-H sensor. Spending the kind of money it takes to develop and produce such a huge number of lenses and then releasing a new flagship body that could use none of the new lenses would be fiscal suicide with the added benefit of angering your entire customer base.
Even if it were true (in which case I'd tell you not to buy Pentax, but disregarding that), there's always something bigger and better on the horizon, and unless next camera's release is imminent, always holding off for the next big thing will end with you in a perpetual state of waiting for the next release.
tl;dr: Buy it!
