I've seen a lot of post requests for Photoshop tutorials. I was in the exact same boat as some of you just a few weeks ago. Essentially I was afraid to open the program because all the windows and toolbars and menu options scared the bejeebus out of me!
Then I found a link to a youtube tutorial and it was only like 3-4 minutes long and I learned so much just by watching that. There are several out there, and some are total crap, bad audio, poor video quality, etc. The one I saw originally was really well done, easy to follow, good audio and video, and I ended up watching nearly all the tutorial videos he's posted. Now I feel like I have at least a good basic (and then some) working knowledge of how to use PS.
What helped most were the Tutorial 101 videos. These are longer (30-50 minutes) than the others (most average 4-6 minutes on specific topics), but the 101 gave a great basic understanding of all the tools and how to use them.
I hope it's okay for me to post this...
here's the link to the
101 tutorials
And here is the
beginning page of all of his tutorials.
I hope this helps!!
