Hello all!
I'm Ryan and I live in the ridiculous Midwest...it's 78 degrees right now at midnight as I post this...
Well, where do I start? I guess I split my interests between photography, cars, and just technology in general. Geek at heart, indeed. I got my very own digi cam back in 03, and after 2 trips to Germany, I realized I love taking pictures, even though they're nothing spectacular.
Currently, my bag holds a 300d with a Canon 28-105 f/4-5.6 USM attached (I know, I know...not the greatest). I bought the camera in March so I'm new to SLRs.
I did, however, make the decision that lenses are too expensive. To remedy this, I have a Super Takumar 135/3.5 in the mail and will be ordering an adapter very soon. If it goes well, my plan is to stick with M42 mounts and prime lenses. I never use the zoom on my P&S cameras anyway, and zoom makes me lazy

Plus, the sharpness is really what I'm looking for. I can't afford nice lenses on my car-addicted, student budget. The old lenses are still around for a reason
Ok, I'm the weird dude with the camera taking pictures of everything. I admit it...who's with me?
Ryan
