Rhonda,
i may be able to offer some advice - not sure if it will help much though. are you doing something like where you set up a booth and you and sell your pictures as people walk by? or are you going to set up a booth; take pictures and print them there (infront of the people who are interested in buying them)... either way, i can tell you want to do (or rather what i do). i photograph horse shows sometimes (in summertime).
I set up a booth where i have a collection of my prints for people to see. i usually have my friend or boyfriend (if he is not working) sit at the booth and talk with people while i am out photographing the horses. at break time, i come and download the shots and usually people will pass by to take a look. (usually owners or breeders). they ask how much the shots were, and i would ask, if they wanted in it a 5x7 shot or 8x10. once they have choosen the picture of their liking; i print it out for them usually right there. or i get them to write down their mailing address, where i mail it to them. the last show i did, i managed to make over $750. (use this as an example - your senario may be a little different).
Now if you are not planning on taking pictures and are just there selling, have a larger variety of photos available. what i like to do is use these photos as "people touchers". the ones people can pick up and touch and look at. write the name of the photo (aka the extention - or whatever you named it to) and when they choose one, tell them you will send it to them an exact copy of the one they like (but untouched).
i hope this helps. also i know it sounds terrible - but none the less be confident, go in with idea that you will sell nothing to no one. (only because it sounds like no one hired you. however if thats wrong, then you already have one buyer!)
