1. dont take pictures of your subjects.. take pictures of the light
(the tip that has changed my view of photography)

2. KNOW your camera and how to squeeze the most out of it.. regularly change things you've never used before and try teqhniques you've never tried.

3. think out of the box and use portrait, landscape & various angles.. AND get LOW.. its easier tham going high and it very often eliminates annyoing backgrounds.
