Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for quite a while now so thought it was time I just got on with it and introduced myself.
I'm in Melbourne and have an almost two year old boy and a wonderful husband who is in the good books after buying me a new lens for my birthday and a crumpler for Mother's Day. I've had my Canon 400D since January and love being able to take as many shots as I like without paying for film although I really need to brush up on my technical knowledge a bit more.
I'm also an almost architect - all going well - just waiting on my final set of results. In the past my main interest in photography was in architecture and details, I did a couple of architectural photography subjects as part of my course. Now my little boy is my main subject so it's great to find a site like this with some inspiration to go out and photograph other things.
I'm looking forward to (hopefully) contributing a little bit and getting a lot out of this site now that I'll have a bit more time to participate. Have enjoyed some of the assignments to give me a break from studying but haven't had much chance to submit anything until now.
Ok - after all that I'm off to see if I can work out how to post pictures.
