Wow you were lucky.
One time I was hiking down a small cliff to get to the bottom of a waterfall and the guy I was with was apointed to hold my camera (Fuji602Z))so it didnt get broke (I'm pretty accident prone) well he dropped it and it bounced off the rocks and landed inthe river.
Amazingly it still worked fine but had a couple of little nicks
