What slows me down in shooting is if I have a backlog of photos to process. I don't like adding to the queue of things to be done, especially if I'm going through a busy patch. I haven't taken a lot of pictures (other than for my fiftytwo project) since I went on holiday in mid-June. Last week, I finally finished working through those pictures and then I've got two more small sets to work through before I have the backlog out of the way.

I do find having a regular project useful. I think a 365-type one would be too much for me to keep up with but a weekly one suits me well. I will be finishing my self-portrait one in September and don't necessarily want to inflict another years worth of self-portraits on the world; I might try a 100-yards project, where I take weekly pictures within 100 yards of where I live, trying to see the area in a fresh way.
