Sometimes I just can't help but work on a photo right away. But the puppy was so cute!
So, here's what I did:
1. The colour looked a bit dull, so I used the velvia technique to boost the colours (Channel Adjustment layer with each of the respective channels increased by 40 and then decreasing the other 2 colours in the channel by 20 each... e.g. Red 140, Blue 80, green 80).
2. Then I decided that the picture started looking really summery, so I figured the brown on the ground just wouldn't do. So, new adjustment layer filled with a grassy kind of green, and then masked out around the dog and the leaves.
3. Then I added a B&W adjustment layer set to soft light and the maximum black setting for the mix.
4. Last of all, I cropped it down to get rid of some of the excess green.

I think that's everything!
