The answer on question number 2:
Runway 17 means that when you take off or land on this runway, you are heading approx 170 degrees. Since approach lights point at you during landing, I was pointing the camera to the
south. If you are landing or taking off in the opposite direction, you are using runway 35 (350 degrees). So one runway are/is actually two runways
