I recently purchased a P880...
I like the camera and am still getting used to it and all the buttons and dials (and the gazillions settings that this camera can be configured with). My previous cameras (an AGFA ePhoto 307 and a Samsung Digimax 230) were totally point and shoot and didnt require any thinking at all except for composing the shot. If I had a preference it would have been to get a DSLR but they are still a bit of a way off yet (around $1000AUD) so the P880 is pretty good value (just over $400AUD).
Anyway, I guess that in a couple of years when I finally master this thing
I will be ready to upgrade...
