This weeks assignment is "Clashing Colours". Monochrome shots need not apply (or you will have to be very clever with them
)!
For most of us, colour is an important part of photography. It pays to get a handle on basic colour science, and a good starting point is a
colour wheel. If you pick two colours opposite each other they are sometimes described as complementary but clashing might be better description as the results tend to be somewhere between vivid and garish.
This week, we want you to take a photo where the main colours are from opposite sides of the wheel - red and green, purple and yellow, etc. Whether you work them into harmony or make the most of the contrast, there should be two opposite colours making up most of the scene, eg:
Contest rules reminder:
1. The image you submit should be taken between the May 28 (when it was announced) and June 11 (up until one of the moderators closes the the mini-contest).
2. EXIF data needs to be intact. It helps if you can include the main points (including camera, lens, date taken, ISO, shutter speed and aperture) in the text of your message.
3. Your post must include "Assignment: Clashing Colours" to show your permission to count it for the contest.
4. Only one entry per member (if you can't restrain yourself until the end of the first week you can post two or three separate pictures but your entry should be in a separate post and the only marked with the text above).
For everyone, please do not repeat other people's photos by quoting them until the contest is over. If you want to comment on or discuss an entry you can use a link to it (or just delete the picture from the quoted text).

ps. Colour blind? Some users have mentioned this in the past. Can you distinguish between different sides of the wheel? Show us what clashing colours look like to you, even if most people see them differently or give us a high contrast image. However, do mention what you are doing so we don't disqualify your picture.
