I think the balance of the composition doesn't quite sit well. The subject seems too pushed towards the bottom left (the space round the top and right doesn't seem to have any particular message) and the large out of focus hand is distracting.
Is it another view of
this sculpture? I prefer that shot of yours, where the subject and what it is doing are more obvious and the background contains variation that gives depth to the result.
