I'm posting this image for reference only as an example of a creative night shot.

I was not taken by me, rather a co-worker that had just bought a Canon PowerShot S70. This was taken with a f/2.8 aperture and a 15 second shutter. The light source was an outdoor light above and to the left of the door.
