I was bothered by the sky being blown out over the mountains, so wound up making it a night shot. Here's what I did:
removed log and stone in front
Converted to b&w
cropped shot so river took 2/3 of area
colorized a dark purple
added a "moon" and dark vignette
(of course it took me 2,570 steps to do it in real life (correcting and recorrecting myself), but that's netting it out!
I couldn't figure out how to make the snow in the foreground whiter without making trees, etc. lighter. Input appreciated! |
