Your "after" picture reminds me of a classical painting. I love the effect of the textures!....and for the record, it is far too easy to become a texture junkie. A good texture can really tie a manipulated image together the way no amount of tweaking can, and they can also add a lot of interest...but one must be careful not to get carried away.
