I mostly use Linux with digikam, which is simply amazing to catalog, geotag, enhace photos and it also convert RAW files (in fact, it's very similar to lightroom, but it's opensource
) and then, for a harder retouching, i use the GIMP, which is not as good as photoshop but more than enough for me.
