Imagine the dynamic difference if you were shown full figure, on a boulder (silhouette, could be big crate with tarp draped over it), or a tree stump, shot in portrait? With very little detail, every small detail becomes much more important. Landscape orientation is calm; here you could be saying 'guess what I have in my hand.'
