My husband is at the top of the picture.
We are walking, no--
hiking up the Manitou Springs Incline in Manitou Springs, CO.
The Incline is an old railway that used to have cable cars to take visitors up to the top of the mountain. In 1990, the railway was shut down and the rails removed.
Since then, it is probably THE most popular hiking area in the Colorado Springs area because it's such a strenuous hike. 5000 steps, 1 mile, and the vertical increase is 2000 ft. I've called it the Ultimate StairMaster and said that only crazy people get out and hike or run (yes, I said run) on it.
This was our first visit. I'll never run on it, but one day, I really want to make it to the top.
