Might be a good time for a round up of popular or good tripods/monopods, bags, other essentials as well to round up the suggestions.

I never knew it was Thanksgiving last week :D
After searching for the “perfect” camera for half a year or so and driving myself crazy reading way too many reviews, I finally went into a store last week, held some cameras, took some snapshots and bought a Canon G9. Very happy with it!
