I find the sponge tool tends to leave a more patchy appearance, whereas using selective color or hue/sat slider provides a way more uniform correction.
I like boring people. Thanks for the tutorial. I’ve also copied the layer with the teeth selected, set the blend mode to screen, and toned it down (way down) until the teeth look bright enough

You could also just use the spongetool and brush away the yellow color. Just as simple.
