Over the past year here at DPS we’ve added over 250 tips and tutorials to this blog - however new readers to the blog often don’t see the wealth of information that we’ve added below the feature.
So today I’ve added a new feature to our top menu - the ‘Get a Random Tip‘ link (as pictured) which when clicked will take you to a random post from our archives. Keep clicking it and you’ll be taken to another one.
I just clicked it 3 times and got taken to How to Get Foregrounds Right in Photography, Getting Horizons Horizontal and 10 Ways to Add Variety to Your Digital Photography.
What have you discovered?
Hopefully readers will find this to be a useful and fun way to explore some of the hidden archives at DPS. Enjoy!
PS: Also note that at the base of the front page of DPS and each of our category pages there’s a little feature that lets you explore previous posts - you can go right back to the start by clicking the ‘last’ button.
Update - I’ve also added a ’subscribe to comments’ feature to the blog so now when you leave a comment on a post you have the opportunity to be emailed if someone else leaves a comment on the same post so that you can keep the conversation going.
To subscribe to a post’s comments simply check the box under the comments section and it’ll do it for you. You can unsubscribe at any time.

The random tip is a great idea, especially for people like me who are relativly new to photography and wouldn’t know where to start looking for things.

I think this is great! I am new to both this website AND photography in general. DPS is my favorite part of every morning. The one thing I have thought would be nice is a way to look at older blogs without having to scroll through manually. This new Find Random Tips button is GREAT! Though it would be nice to have an archive that is accessible so one may be able to recall an older article in particular…just a suggestion! thank you so much for this blog!

I’ve discovered that DPS no longer works with Opera correctly :(. I love this blog and hate having to fire up firefox to read it correctly.
