Behind the Image: Jeremy Cowart Shares How He took a Portrait of Imogen Heap
In this video photographer Jeremy Cowart talks us through the process of taking and then processing an image of musician Imogen Heap.
The shooting phase was very simple but the real magic happened in photoshop when Jeremy composited the portrait with a couple of other images and began to add layers and textures to the image.

Good video. Excellent end product. This is a terrific example of digital imaging. I’ve known of “re-amping” in the music industry, but photographing the photograph and layering them is a new technique to me. Thanks for sharing this vid.

Lovely image! I love the idea of processing the picture into something completely different and similar to how a multimedia artist works.

Beautiful image. Sometimes wish I had some fashion models to photograph, but I mostly photograph families, kids, weddings, and other portraits. Great job.

I’m curious about the reshoot process he talks about in the video. I’d love to see an example of what he means by that.

Very nice job…. how did she like the end image? It is a photograph that inspires researching the musician, too. If that was a shoot for advertising, it would work well! I’m about to look her up online.
