Samsung this week announced the Samsung HZ10W (also known as the Samsung WB500 in some parts of the world).
The Samsung HZ10W is a 10.2 megapixel point and shoot digital camera that features a 2.7 inch LCD screen and generous 10x optical zoom (giving it an equivalent focal range of 24-240mm. This focal range means it’s plenty wide enough for landscapes but has great reach for getting in close in portraits or even when shooting action from a distance.
The HZ10W is a relatively compact camera and offers ISO of 80 to 1800 (up to 3200 at reduced resolution), full manual mode, mechanical image stabilization (handy with a lens this long), HD video recording (30 frames per second), face detection, smile detection, USB connectivity and 13 scene modes.
The Samsung HZ10W comes in both black and silver and will have a retail price of $299.99.
