Mirror Self Portrait: Weekly Photography Challenge

Tonite. Self-portrait on the lift mirrorThis week your photographic challenge is to take and share a Mirror Self Portrait.

If you’re looking for some inspiration check out this post from the last week – 19 More Creative Mirror Self Portraits as well as our original post with 13 examples of Mirror Self Portraits.

Feel free to take any approach to this that you like and to be as creative as you wish. The mirror could be anywhere – your bathroom, a security mirror in a car park or shopping centre, in a lift, in your bedroom, a mirror in your car… anywhere you like!

This is always a fun challenge as we not only get to see some creative shooting but we get a quick snapshot of who is reading dPS as we see some of your wonderful faces!

If you’re looking for some inspiration – check out our Self Portrait eBook by renowned self portrait photographer Anna Gay.

Once you’ve taken and selected the ‘Mirror Self Portrait’ image that you’d like to share – upload it to your favourite photo sharing site or blog and either share a link to it or – embed them in the comments using the our new tool to do so.

If you tag your photos on Flickr, Instagram, Twitter or other sites with Tagging tag them as #DPSMIRRORSP to help others find them. Linking back to this page might also help others know what you’re doing so that they can share in the fun.

Also – don’t forget to check out some of the great shots posted in last weeks challenge – Mobile Photography challenge where there were some great shots submitted.

I can’t wait to see your mirror self portraits!
