DPS Redesign Rolling Out Now

dps-icon.pngThis is just a short note to let readers know that we’re about to flick the switch on a new design here at DPS.

This means that in the coming hour or so things could get a little crazy around here in these ways:

1. You’ll start seeing new design elements. They are quite different from the old DPS. I know some of you are quite attached to the old design but it is time for a change as we’ve out grown our old design. I’ll update you on some of the new features in a few hours with my next post.

2. You may see a few bugs – with every redesign there are always a few bugs that need to be weeded out. We’ve tested the design quite a bit but there are a few things we know we’ll need to do once the new design goes live. If you see any of these bugs feel free to leave a comment or contact us via our contact form.

3. Commenting may be a little disrupted – switching from one version to the other means we may lose a handful of comments. We’re pretty confident that we won’t lose many but comments left in the next few hours may or may not make it. If it’s an important comment you might want to either wait til later or copy and paste it into a text document so you can repost it if it disappears.

As I say – I’ll be writing a post in a few hours time (all going well) which will signal that the update is largely complete and talking readers through some of the changes that we’ve made (and there are a few).

In the mean time – wish us luck and check back in a bit to see the new DPS.
