dPS Bi-Weekly Photo Challenge: Best of 2023

Well here we are in 2024! We do this almost every year, the old “share your best or most favourite photograph of the last year” Now, keep in mind that it doesn’t have to be the most polished photograph, doesn’t have to be taken with the best gear (gotta be a camera / phone and not Ai!) just your best or most favourite photograph. Blurry, Sharp, whatever – it’s your moment to share something that means something to YOU. #dPSBestOf2023

Make sure you include the hashtags #dPSWeeklyChallenge and #dPSBestOf2023 in your post, here in the comments or over on social media. You can tag us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter!

For me, this year, it was a photo in the moment with my phone – I had my camera with me, but I had the Tamron 35-150mm on, a lovely lens, but not wide enough… Now, the phone didn’t resolve details very well, the low light and the tiny sensor made for an average combo at best, but this was the first time my wife had decided to join my son’s school’s community choir for the carols service, this photo was taken with my son way over on the left, my wife way over on the right singing Carol of the bells, quite the family moment, and that’s what made it my favourite frame of the year.

Carol of the bells

I have sharper, technically better photographs, but photography isn’t always about that… Looking forward to seeing your best photo of 2023!

Find all of our previous weekly challenges here.

Simply upload your shot into the comment field (look for the little camera icon in the Disqus comments section) and they’ll get embedded for us all to see or if you’d prefer, upload them to your favourite photo-sharing site and leave the link to them. Show me your best images in this week’s challenge. Sometimes it takes a while for an image to appear so be patient and try not to post the same image twice.

Share in the dPS Facebook Group

You can also share your images in the dPS Facebook group as the challenge is posted there each week as well.
