Learning to hold your digital camera is one of the most basic skills you’ll ever learn. In fact it is so basic that many people take it for granted. However, holding your camera correctly is easy to get wrong which in turn leads to images that suffer from camera shake.
We’ve written numerous times on the topic of how to hold your camera (see below for more links) but thought this cheat sheet might help some of you visualise good technique (click to enlarge).
While the above instructions on how to hold a camera might seem quite detailed and overwhelming to a new camera owner you’ll find that after a little practice they become second nature and you begin to do it without thinking about it at all.
Of course you’ll also start seeing an improvement in your images!
