Weekly Assignment

We’ve been running the weekly assignment now for some time, and I wanted to take this oppotunity to thank all of you that participate in it! There are some awesome images shared each assignment, thanks!

This week the assignment focussed on ‘Smitheyes with “Me & My Shadow” Nice perspective, Jason!

Our first runner up is CountryKim with her lovely shot of a simple clothes peg, aptly named ‘April Fresh‘ the shallow depth of field and the sun flare both add interest to this lovely ‘Homelife : Chores’ photograph, well done, Kim.

Leisuretime | What to do on a snowy day

Homelife : Leisure Time is now well under way, you’ve still got time to get your photograph in for this assignment, please keep in mind the use of the ‘Rule of Thirds’ that Saralonde has added in, just to keep you on your toes, however, if you’ve already entered your photo for this week’s assignment, perhaps you should start thinking about the next assignment “Doorways” Doorways can be physical or metaphorical. From a physical standpoint, you might want to consider textures, colors, lighting and shadows. Can you give us a reason to wonder what is behind that door? Perhaps the door has a personality of it’s own or a feeling for the type of person that lives there. Maybe you want to think of a doorway as a passage from one area to another either tangible or symbolic. Spend some time thinking about what you want to convey before you shoot.

See you next week!
