Hello all,
First I would like to thank DPS. and Borrowlenses.com for creating this opportunity for us all to learn how simple, easy, and affordable it really is to have so much equipment available to us through renting. Being a virtual newbie I had no idea this service was so readily available to help me continue my education in the world of photography. Just reading about a certain lense and how someone else can make it shine is no comparison to holding and using it yourself. However, as usual at DPS, just reading through the comments in this post has taught me a tremendous amount about lenses and what they are generally used for(a very broad subject).
For myself I would like to try my hand with the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5. Its wide angle range is one that I have never shot in and I would really like to know what I am missing. I love the outdoors and spend alot of time looking for those perfect shots. Wouldn't it be great to know the perfect lense to fit that perfect shot was in my bag? Better yet on my camera!!

Thanks again, Dave C.

I would love you use the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS again. Its such a great lens and takes wonderful portraits at 200 with that 2.8 bokeh.

The reason is I'm thinking about buying a portrait lens or just continuing renting one and I really want to try the 70-200mm again.

WOO. Thanks.

The Lens: Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS
The Why: My wife! For several months now she has been talking about her dream lens, the one she can't live without, the one she MUST have to complete her (as a photographer anyway), and the one she knows she won't be buying anytime soon. So when I heard about this contest I thought it would be the perfect way to make her dreams come true, at least for a few weeks. I don't know if she even knows about renting, but what a great way to be able to test drive a lens, or to have it for that one special occasion. Especially the more expensive ones like this one (she always has enjoyed the finer things in life). So please help me be her knight in shining lens armor!

I'd like to try the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR AF-S. Marching band season is starting, and the combination of the f/2.8 and the VR would help _immensely_ with those night-time football halftime shows!

Last year I was able to sell some shots to help raise money for the band boosters. If I could get cleaner shots of kids' faces, I could do even better this year.

Thanks!

I would choose the Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S, because I am thinking of purchasing one and this is a perfect way to evaluate a lens befor buying.

I would love to borrow the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS. I've been drooling over the Canon L lenses. I've not been totally happy with the sharpness of my pictures and would like to see the results of using this lens.

My oldest of 4 kids is a senior this year...his last year with the family before departing into the world, leaving the nest, and venturing out on his own. He's been my best friend since day 1; we do everything together; I've coached his soccer teams, referee'd them, coached him in track & field; and am now a NY state track official..just so I could be right there with him while he competes. Seriously, I'll cry when he leaves next summer. My budget is very cramped, however, I did save my official's fees just so I could buy a new Canon 40D, but don't have any lenses other than a 50mm from year's ago when I bought an EOS 650(film.)

My son indicated he doesn't have any 'action' shots of him in any sports....I never realized that before. So, I'd very much like to borrow the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS so I can at least capture a moment of youth, a moment in time before it's over.

Thank you for your consideration.

I am new to this site and the concept of renting lenses. I have been researching a lens to replace my 18-55 kit lens and am very interested in the Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS or the EF 16-35 f/2.8L II.

I just learned that I may be attending three nieces' weddings next summer and would like to try either of these in advance. Prior to this contest I was unaware of BorrowLenses and look forward to an opportunity to try your service.

Thank you for your wonderful site (DPS), tips and articles, and for this opportunity with BorrowLenses.

What a great idea for a contest! Thanks DPS and borrowlenses!

I would love to try out the Nikon 60mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Micro lens.

I'm a photography student, with a love of macro photography. I've love to try this lens myself, to remind myself what I'm endlessly saving up for! :)
