My background is a picture of my view outside my bedroom window. It was around Thanksgiving, one morning, and there was a haze and a natural vignette. I didn't retouch the picture. It reminds me of beautiful autumn mornings when everything is quiet and no one is up and about yet. Whenever I travel it reminds me of home.

18% gray solid color on my photo machines and whatever I happen to like at the moment on my email-etc machine. Right now, it is the default OSX wallpaper, but that may change.

I keep this one on my laptop:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lucho4u/2899602772/

Took it while on a hike up Old Rag Mountain in Virginia, US. I was going to delete but started playing with it in PP. it's just a little reminder to give things a second chance, they may surprise you with something good :)

This is the picture on my desktop: . I get a real sense of contentment every time that I look at it. I like how on my desktop it looks as though it might be a really big flower, even though in reality the Mexican sunflower is pretty small. I originally took this shot as a reference photo to paint (I do watercolours). I rotate my desktop pix periodically, especially when I find something that I won't get tired of looking at.

There are two backgrounds 'cause of two screens, first one is on the macbook and the other on another screen.

I tend to change them whenever better ones come along.

At the moment its a break from my dogs...On the macbook:

http://stanford.edu/~cammcd/IMG_1277.JPG

Because it has vertical but flowing lines and plenty of clean blue (albeit grainy) space for icons - taken at Monterey Bay Aquarium

Desktop:

Honeymoon underwater sot of a soft coral.

I love to put Biblical Scripture to photos I shoot...especially of nature and use them as my background wallpaper. I took this one recently of a River Birch in my yard. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30224113&id=1329583307

The Leaf picture was taken in an Apple Orchard in the Okanagan, BC and believe it or not, I took it hoping it would turn out as a background. The other pics are taken in the Rocky Mountains at a place named Lake Louise and the original was taken in February with the lake frozen and us able to walk out to the middle! I liked the effect and flipped it so most of my icons would be in the darker areas. And then just for fun used it as a BW image for a while. Many people acutally notice the leaves as I do many presenations in my real job and lots actually notice it!!!
