In my carry-most-places kit, I have the following: Olympus E-3 body. Zuiko Digital 14-54 f2.8 (28-108mm 35mm equivalent), 50mm f2.0 macro (100mm), and 50-200 f2.8 (100-400mm), Zuiko EC14 Teleconverter, Olympus FL-50 flash, flash extension cable, Hoya Pro1 Circular Polarizer and step up ring to work with all three lenses, and two extra batteries.

When I know specifically what I am going to shoot, or need to travel light, I can put the body and two lenses (or one lens and the flash) in a smaller sling-bag.

I have a Nikon D60. I'm a beginner so that will probably be my primary camera until I think I'm good enough to invest in a D90 or D300.
Lenses: I have a 18mm-55mm vr and 55mm-200mm vr. I use the 55mm-200mm the most because I like to get upclose and personal without being upclose and personal.
My favorite accessory would have to be my HP HDX laptop for photo editing. I'm still learning the editing process also. My first digital camera was a sony something. I didn't have a clue at all... I just took pictures now I take photographs.

Nikon's are just as good (or even better IMO) as Canon's. Its just that Canon has better and cheaper beginner models than Nikon.

Because the camera gears are incompatible or maybe because you just are used to the camera brand, it usually means that you stick with whatever brand you are using. The case is usually the more serious you are about photography, the larger your investment is on the accessories(lenses, etc) compared to the actual camera.

First Digital Camera: none (I just borrow Nikon's and Canon's here and there) but if you count the film type non-digital SLR, I got a Canon relic(forgot the model).
