Hi All,

I use a Canon 50D which is a great camera.
For lenses I use a Canon 70-200 2.8 IS and I have to say that since I got that lense I have never regret one single minute my purchase....it is just great. I also use a Sigma 24-70 2.8 and I have to say this is a fantastic lense. I also use a 500D macro filter for the 70-200 and boy...that really works !!! I also carry a Metz Flash and a couple of filters for special shots. I just bought me a Gorilla tripod which has resulted very handy at times.

Well thats it...of course at home I keep other gear nad stuff I only use at my home studio

Cheers from Switzerland

Current gear:
Canon EOS 1DIII. I have a 6 year old son, and he's ALL boy. I need the AF speed to be able to keep up with him. 10MP is plenty of resolution for what I shoot, and I regularly print up to 12x18 without any problems. I shoot primes. I have a Sigma 28mm EX DG f/1.8, a Canon 50mm f/1.4, an 85mm f/1.8, and a Sigma 150mm EX DG Macro f/2.8. I like these lenses, and they allow me to not have to shoot higher than ISO 1600 (mostly ISO 800), in all available lights situations that I ever run into. If I have to use a flash, I just use the small 430 EX. It bounces nice, and does just fine for me. For anything greater, I use two Alien Bees 800 lights, and that will handle anything I need. I know many people who use MUCH more powerful gear, but my stuff allows me to shoot what I want.

My favorite lens is probably either the 28mm or the 85mm. It seems that for MOST of my basic walking around, the 28mm (on a 1.3 crop) handles nearly everything I need to shoot. It may be a little narrow for landscapes, but I just take a few steps back and then shoot. On my wish list is the Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS. I normally DON'T like zooms, but if I were to get one, that'd be it! :D

Current gear:
Canon EOS 40D - an upgrade from the 30D, my first D-SLR. Feature-wise the 40D is a nice improvement over the 30D with the added bonus of a 2 mega-pixel increase in resolution. I shied away from the 50D due to cost and to reviews stating it wasn't much of an improvement over the 40D. Though I'd love to have a 5D MKII, as a hobbyist, I find it hard to justify the expense of a FF body, especially as I have a few other hobbies that compete for time and money.

My current favorite lens is my Canon EF 70-200mm f4 L USM - it is light enough that I can walk around with it all day and fast enough that I can use it for sports and wildlife during daylight conditions. Other lenses in my bag are the Canon EF 100mm Macro f2.8 USM, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-5.6 USM, Canon EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM and a Sigma DG 28-200mm f3.5-5.6. Currently I do most of my walking around with the 17-85mm lens which is a little too soft on the short end.

On my wish list is a Canon EF 24-105 f4 L IS USM and a Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L USM. Once I purchase the 24-105mm I will sell the 17-85mm and the Sigma 28-200mm to recoup some of the cost.
