I have a Nikon Coolpix 5700. I sometimes consider upgrading, but my Coolpix takes amazing pictures. I change my mind about upgrading after every picture I take.

After reading reviews on digital cameras in a number of websites, I have recently bought my first digital camera --- a Canon SX 10 IS. On some occasions I am not getting very sharp pictures, specially if persons' images are taken from a distance using the zoom.
Is there any way out ?

It seems like I waited forever for the Canon 5D Mark II to be available...maybe it was just a couple of months.
I've had it for two months and I love it. There's a lot to learn, but I'm up to it. I still use my Canon 30D a lot,
but the 5D Mark II is my camera of choice. When I crop a bird from the tree 50 feet away, I can still count the
feathers on the bird!!

I own: Canon 5D MK-II w/ battery grip.
           17-40mm L
           28-85mm USM
           10D (soon to be DIR)
I love the new 5D. The resolution and high ISO is a plus.

Camera: Canon Rebel XT
Lens: Canon 18-55mm (Kit lens)

It's good for beginners!

What I liked about it?

I have taken few wonderful macros, portraits with this. It generates amazing clarity when set to high aperture.

My silver bodied camera make the heads turn whereever i take it :-)

The mode setting wheel, the ON/OFF switch and shutter buttons being on the same (right) side of the camera is an advantage. I can grip my camera and meddle with all these buttons with one hand.

The batteries last for weeks!

What I did't like about it?

Built-in flash is not good enough. Kit lens doesn't have enough zoom.

Camera is not sturdy enough for rough use.

Few of my pictures are affected by sun flares. Unfortunately, I couldn't notice it in the view finder while taking it.
