I do want to get more creative with my flash shots, but mostly use flash for photography still objects as I don’t have the chance to use it for actions shots. Maybe I’ll just have to settle for trying it out with my puppy running around instead of something cool like a skateboarder.

One thing that would have been more useful is actually labeling which technique is shown in each photograph.

Good article. However the majority of those shots looked like the flash was off camera.

I accidently took a photo similar to these at a ski comp last season. I was just fooling around with the settings on my point and click to get a good shot.
