I have always viewed photography as a hobby....a means to release creative energy...and at the same time gain relaxaction. When you try to make money out of a hobby it then becomes a "JOB",.and by the very defination of "JOB","WORK","MAKING A LIVING"....it ceases to be fun and you loose alot of your creativity.

Thats only my thinking of course....some people love their "WORK"....I love my hobbies.

@dan - I merely provide the star ratings as a quick reference of what I think of the book. I guess I would have to say that a 5/5 book is one that I would recommend to any photographer. In this particular case, the book may not necessarily be applicable to everyone's situation. I can, however, assure you that there is incredible value in what Sosa and Sease have written if you are looking to promote yourself.

Finally, there is one very important aspect of the book that I would like to point out: The very last chapter of the book focuses on finding creative outlets and about how you are an artist first and foremost. It stresses the importance of finding time to shoot for your own interests instead of those of your clients. I am a firm believer that happiness comes from doing what you love – but it is important not to let your business consume your art. I have a lot of respect for Stone and Sease for taking the time to reiterate this important, but often overlooked, detail.

I totally agree with this.

If there are no bad points why don't they have 5 of 5 stars?
