Hi Bilka – yes there’s definite overlap. Probably the main difference for the newsletter is that we point out hot threads of conversations, pictures and new assignments from the forums. While we do have a weekend post on the forums on the blog/RSS this is a different summary of the forum activities.

Some prefer RSS, others the daily email that we offer and quite a like to get the newsletter. Some actually like the newsletter and RSS. We put all three out there for you to choose from – no pressure either way.

The newsletter looks great and I am sure it takes much work to get it out there every week. I did notice however from glancing at the “sample” link that it seems to be a rehash of the messages already on the Digital Photography School’s RSS Feed to which I already subscribe. Am I missing something? If I subscribe to the RSS Feed would there be any benefit or advantages to a newsletter subscription over the RSS Feed?
