Subscribe to Our Newsletter For a Chance to Win a Great Photography Book

ImagesAre you subscribed to our weekly Digital Photography School Newsletter?

If so you’re in the running for our latest competition here at DPS. If not – it’s time to sign up below to put yourself in the running!

About our Newsletter

Towards the end of each week I sit down at my computer and sum up the week that was on Digital Photography School and send out a recap of new posts on the blog as well as ‘hot’ conversations and great pictures from users on our forums.

If new cameras or photo editing software have been released in the previous week I include a little information on them and also highlight other useful books and resources that can help you in your photography.

You can see a sample newsletter here (this one is from last week) to get a taste for what is included.

Subscribe to Win Bryan Peterson’s Latest Book

I’m pretty proud of our weekly newsletter and get a lot of positive feedback from subscribers (I’m literally inundated with emails asking where it is on the odd occasion that I’m sick or traveling) but as a little extra incentive to subscribe this week I’m going to offer 3 lucky subscribers a copy of Bryan Peterson’s Latest Book – Understanding Shutter Speed (which I reviewed here at DPS yesterday).

If those randomly selected to win already have a copy I’ll substitute another photography book to the same value.

You’ve got until when I send the next newsletter (late on Thursday night Australian time) to put yourself in the running. If you are already subscribed you’re automatically entered to win!

Add Your Email Address Below to go into the Running to Win

To subscribe to our newsletter all you have to do is enter your email address below. You’ll then get sent an email asking you to confirm your subscription – once you have done that you’re subscribed and in the running to win the book.

I hope you enjoy your newsletter subscription – good luck with the competition!

The newsletter looks great and I am sure it takes much work to get it out there every week. I did notice however from glancing at the “sample” link that it seems to be a rehash of the messages already on the Digital Photography School’s RSS Feed to which I already subscribe. Am I missing something? If I subscribe to the RSS Feed would there be any benefit or advantages to a newsletter subscription over the RSS Feed?

    Thanks,

    Bilka

Hi Bilka – yes there’s definite overlap. Probably the main difference for the newsletter is that we point out hot threads of conversations, pictures and new assignments from the forums. While we do have a weekend post on the forums on the blog/RSS this is a different summary of the forum activities.

Some prefer RSS, others the daily email that we offer and quite a like to get the newsletter. Some actually like the newsletter and RSS. We put all three out there for you to choose from – no pressure either way.
